About DACT
Dyess and Abilene Children's Theatre is a vibrant, nonprofit community theatre dedicated to enriching the lives of children through the magic of the performing arts. Serving the children of Dyess Air Force Base and the greater Abilene area, our theatre provides a unique space where young performers, ages 3 to 18, can come together to create, learn, and grow.
Operating out of the Abilene Community Theatre's ACT II building, Dyess and Abilene Children's Theatre produces multiple shows each year, featuring a full cast and crew of talented young actors and backstage support. Every production is an opportunity for children from both military and civilian families to work together, fostering creativity, teamwork, and self-confidence.
Our mission is to provide a welcoming environment for kids of all backgrounds to explore their passion for theatre, whether on stage or behind the scenes. With each performance, we celebrate the power of the arts to inspire young minds and bring our community closer together.
